Happy “Twenty-Fifteen” to all our Region 34 sisters from all of us at BPC. We hope you had a safe and relaxing break over the festive-holiday-party-silly season (!).

BPC  concluded  2014 in a suitably-Sweet-Adeline fashion by singing carols for the residents at Lee Hostel, a retirement village in Blayney (this is always a joy for both ourselves and the residents), and a fantastic coaching weekend with Lea Baker.  It was great to have our Vegas OOTERS from Murrumbidgee Magic (Jill, Judy and Julie) on the risers with us for the weekend.

Other highlights from the later end of 2014 included having the opportunity to sing at a moving Citizenship Ceremony at Bathurst Council, winning the Open Choral section at the Bathurst Eisteddfod, and a day of ‘roving’ performances at the beautiful Mayfield Gardens. As an added bonus on this day, we managed to make a few hundred dollars via our donations bucket.  What better way to raise funds than to do what you love, on a gorgeous spring day, to appreciative audiences?? (With an included mini-bus trip to the venue; road trip with a bunch of Sweet Adelines only equals fun! ;-D).  We were delighted to have our newest members, Janelle and Linda, join our Lead and Baritone Sections, and to welcome Suzi (one of our basses) back to the risers after her extended leave.

No doubt like us, you’ve only just pulled the tinsel down, finished your Christmas gigs, and suddenly you’re carrying out all those “future plans” laid down for  2015!

At the time of writing, we at Bathurst Panorama are lucky enough to have the wonderful Judy Poszgay coaching us.  We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to benefit from Judy’s Showmanship expertise, sense of humour and energy!

Over the next 34 weeks (‘till we fly out to Vegas  - but who’s counting?!), BPC is looking forward to coaching with Lynne Smith and Carole Kirkpatrick Persinger,  finishing our second CD, our Yetholme fundraiser lunch and  our formal Gala Dinner with guest host, Gold Logie winner and TV personality, Scott Cam (see our brand new website for details!! bathurstpanorama.com)  And, of course, the ongoing ‘hard yakka’ in rehearsing our competition package under the inspiring guidance of our director Tracey and Visual Leader Fiona.

From all of us at Bathurst Panorama, may 2015 be a successful year for you and best of luck to those quartets and choruses competing in Hobart (we’ll be there in spirit!!).
